The GlideTide is designed to perform well in a wide range of water conditions. With the GlideTide, windblown waves, rolling seas, or wakes from other boaters will not keep you from enjoying your row. The sugar scoop stern allows water to drain off the boat and the larger volume keeps you safe in larger waves. The GlideTide rows equally well in flat water and it is a great boat for those wanting to get started in the sport. From a team atmosphere, a coach can safely and effectively engage a group of Middle School or adult rowers equally well. Having newer rowers feel in charge and not scared will make those first strokes all the better. Made with the same tough construction as all the GlideTide models, our boats allow you to row out to the sandbar and just pull it up and have a picnic or go for a swim. The GlideTide performs best with rower and gear under 220 lbs but remains safe and stable with up to 275 lbs onboard. Three float bags added inside the hulls also bring the GlideTide to full compliance for FISA coastal events.
