GlideBoatsUSA is the North American Distributor of GlideBoatsUK and we want to get YOU on the water in a safe, durable, stable, and affordable rowing craft. We also provide online coaching, video tutorials, and in-person clinics so you can get the most out of your GlideBoat experience. Rowing is a lifelong sport that can quickly turn into a passion. Gliding on flat water or turning a point with dolphins and seals following can become very addictive. The boat you row is important, but being safe, having fun, and enjoying the outdoors are paramount.
GlideBoats was formed by rowers looking to provide good quality, affordable sculling boats that could withstand the rigors of frequent use. Thinking beyond traditional rowing boat construction and design, Paul Godsafe founded GlideBoat with these guiding principles:

Mark’s background is that of a college rower, who went on to the pre-elite, elite, and national champion route. He started coaching full-time in 1998 and has traveled the world; from China to Turkey, Ireland to Italy, and beyond, coaching groups and individuals in various rowing crafts. Mark also has a whitewater kayaking background and always thought that a rotomolded rowing shell would be a great boat for all sorts of reasons. Mark is thrilled to work with individuals, clubs, teams, and any other program that needs a robust yet cost-effective option to get more people on the water!

Mark and Ryan have nearly 60 years of rowing experience between them and are ready to help you get into a boat that is like no other. A well-engineered and designed rotomolded plastic rowing shell that can take you anywhere! The hull is tough, can be knocked around, dragged on the beach or dock, and handled by anyone.
Ryan started rowing in high school and continued through college. He never stopped adventuring by oar power. From flatwater and coastal racing to rowing whitewater rafts or crossing the Atlantic ocean, if it has oarlocks, he’ll give it a go. As a coach and boatman with a background in experiential education Ryan’s passion is creating access to the water and sees GlideBoats as an opportunity to get more people rowing on more bodies of water.
